The Best for Last!

Its Friday and my last day of the week to show you a new update from Jenny Evelyn Photography!

I have gone through and added a ton of images into my Love Birds galleries! I also have created a feature gallery of Brandy’s Trash The Dress (TTD) session that will be in the magazine Wedding Belles. You have heard me talk about here …. four of my bride’s weddings will be published and as well as a few engagements. The editor asked me to write an article about the whole TTD experience. Now, not every bride wants to get in a tree or swimming pool in their wedding dress. The point of the article is to explain that a TTD is simply when a Bride decides to have her Bridal Session after the wedding. She doesn’t not have to go as far as “trashing her dress”, but it does allow for her to not be stressed about messing the dress up before the big day. I hope you enjoy the new images and look for my article coming out in Wedding Belles on April 9th! April the 8th 13WMAZ will be announcing the cover bride at 8:00pm and then the magazine will be available in Kroger stores all over middle GA.

Today’s Update: “Kind Words”

I have had some wonderful Brides, Grooms, and families that were so sweet to send me “kind words” of encouragement or testimonials about my work. It is truly one of the blessing of my job. I wanted to share some of them with you so there is now a section on my website called “kind words” I will keep it updated from here on out….and when I get a new one I will add it to the lot.

Barnesmusic.com

This is a week of updates!!! First the new blog and now ….I finally have music on my website!!!! I have had lots of ppl ask me about putting music on my website and I have waited because I wanted to make sure I had the rights to use music for my site. Jonathan Barnes is not only a fabulous musician but also is my cousin! (if you have not noticed yet…I have a BIG family) Over Christmas I saw a youtube video that Jonathan’s sister posted on her facebook and quickly was drawn in and listened to all of the videos he has posted. It is really incredible to watch such a talented musician. Koutsunis (my hubby) and I sat and listened to some of the acoustic songs with my site up and thought they were a nice match….So I called Jonathan and he was totally up for it. Now I get to support an artist that I believe in. Please check out some of his other music!

Ashley & Beau-Love & Spring in the air!

Well Spring was here last week! I am so ready for the nice weather to come back …especially as I sit here and edit Beau and Ashley’s engagement session that I photographed last week. It was a really fun shoot and my first one on a golf course. Beau is a golf professional and so he got up a hook up to do part of their shoot at Idle Hour Country Club.

Beau gave Ashley a little putting lesson.

I LOVE this ring shot… Titleist is Beau’s favorite brand and his groom cake is going to be made of little cupcakes with the Titelist logo on them! CUTE! He wanted the golf ball on top of the ring, but you know that’s a no-go.. Ladies first!

I loved photographing these two interacting…they are pickers… constantly picking…reminds me of Koutsunis and I. My parents call us the Picking Praters.

The first time I met with Ashley she saw this photo from Anna Claire and Jake’s engagement and requested a photo here… their love must be “Oh So Sweet” too!

My First Post on my New Blog!!!!

Welcome to the blog! I am so in love with it! My brother Chris did a fabulous job with the custom design. Originally it started out as “Chris I want to hire you to make my blog look cooler” then that turned into Chris completely revamping my blog by switching to Word Press to make a custom one of a kind blog especially for me!

Workshop Fun!!! Teens 2 Tots.

In keeping with number 6 of New Year’s Resolutions I am doing some continuing education this month! I went to an awesome workshop with some of my photographer friends on Tuesday! It was a fabulous workshop by Sandy Puc. She is a portrait photographer that specializes in children her studio is called Expressions and boy can she capture them. It is amazing how she interacts with children and keeps their attention. I feel like I have a whole new perspective and lots of tricks for photographing the kiddos! I cannot wait for my next baby shoot…which might be really soon since my sister is due with baby number 4 at any moment!

There is nothing like a Great Hair Cut!!!

Yesterday my bf Elizabeth and I went together for a lunch date to get our haircuts. I have just started going to Bonnie at Glenda’s cove. It is a quaint salon and Bonnie really knows hair. She totally gave me the cut I wanted!

I got lots of short funky layers on top so I thought it would be funny to post a pic where it looks like my hair is really short on my facebook and see what the reaction was. I really just wanted to get that phone call from my mom! I got lots of sweet comments about my new do but here is the real new look.

I guess I was just feeling like a little April Fools in March.

I am glad we got to take a pic together.. Elizabeth was such a help at my Bridal Bash and I wanted a pic of us together on my backdrop!!! Yea!!

Fun with Little P. at the Park

A few days ago when the weather was a little warmer I got to go to Henry Burns Park for a photo session with Mr. P. I love that park because my Grandmother used to take my and my siblings there when I was a little kiddo. We had a lot of fun watching him play and explore the world around him.

Its SNOWING!!!!

March 1st, 2009

Koutsunis and I were driving home from Church and had to jump out of the car at a stop sign and do a little snow dance around the car we were so excited about SNOW!!! We both grew up in south GA so we don’t see snow very often! It was a great day!
We had a snowball fight and even made a snowman!

I had to post a couple of pics!
